OLD BUSINESS
Bill McGrath reported:
14 Churches are now on line.
He has added quite a few stories, poems and songs to the resources
section of the TIGS website.
Jeanne Keefe needs volunteers to assist in scanning St. Mary
cemetery records in her office at RPI.
We are working on several projects using records from Rensselaer
County Historical Society; e.g., Italian Midwife records that
Tim Stone is working on indexing. Rensselaer County Surrogate
Court Records, that Peter Reilly is working on indexing.
We have transcribers working on the Death and Marriage records
that were copied by the DAR in 1935 from old Troy Newspapers.
Kris said that theTIGS table for the Victorian Stroll in December
will be set up in the RCHS building.
Kris reported there are still 2 openings for the Ireland trip.
The Newsletter was discussed, and we are hoping someone will
volunteer to start it up again.
Woodside Church is to be an Art Center. Possible tour in the
fall.
Kris looked into a company called the Café Press. They
will print any logo on hats, bags, shirts, etc. for us. People
would just go to the web site to order and we would get 10% of
the profits.
