The regular monthly meeting of the Troy Irish Genealogy Society was held on Thursday, August 20, 2009 at Brown’s Brew Pub, Troy New York. The following individuals were in attendance:

The meeting was called to order at 6:50 p.m. by Kris Ayotte, President.
A motion was made and seconded to approve the minutes of the July 16, 2009 meeting. The motion passed. The minutes have been published on the TIGS website.
REPORTS
Treasurer Treasurer Lizette Strait reported that the current balance was
$2547.54 We have a new member from Pasadeno, California. There is a motion and
second to accept the Treasurers report. All in favor.
List Administrator, Brad Miter, has reported that there are currently 213 list members
and that is a record
OLD BUSINESS
Marriage Index Project Volume 9 is being proof read .Bill McGrath reports we are adding middle initials. There are multiple pages missing.
Church Memorial Data Base- Kay Brearton reports there are 2 more- Oakwood Presbyterian and St Paul’s that are now on the website. There are writeups on St Peters being done. Lynn Grieson is sending St Lawrence records that she has to us.
St. Agnes Cemetery-Jeanne Keefe put 100 pages together -there is 500 total Bill McGrath can now start on them Question : who has St John cemetery records Answer: St Agnes Church does (Molly Nichols) St Agnes Church moved books to Siena College for climate control.
Troy Hudson River Quadricetennial Celebration- Kris Ayotte is manning a booth on Sept 24 and would like other members to accompany her.
NEW BUSINESS
Charter Changes- President Kris Ayotte said according to our bylaws we cannot eliminate Vice President. Suggestions are co vice presidents or a membership chairperson (Donna Vaughn). Kris has created the membership chair (Donna) who will temporarily set up meetings. The structure of the meetings may be changed to business meetings every 3 months with no agendas. We have to publish any proposed changes and it has to stay up 30 da

A motion was made by and seconded to adjourn the meeting. The motion was approved and the meeting adjourned at 7:40 p.m.
