Lizette Strait, List Administrator, reported that there are 199 list members.

Bill McGrath, Project Chairperson, reported that Volume III of the Marriage Index and the 1903 City Directory Death Records have been put on line.  He is currently gearing up for Volumes IV & V of the Marriage Index.  Members discussed possible new projects.  One possible new project is church memorials, they can have a wealth of genealogy information on them.  Bill McGrath thought this can be an important project since many churches are closing and contents being sold off.  Another project could be the 1904 City Directory.  This will be discussed at the next meeting.

OLD BUSINESS

The proposed trip to Ireland was tabled since Kris Ayotte was not in attendance.  The trip is scheduled for sometime in mid-April 2008.

TIGS T-shirts and tote bags were available to members that ordered them last month.  Prepaid orders are still being taken at meetings from members who would like to buy one.  It was mentioned by Donna Vaughn that from now on only shirts provided by the printers will be used.

Donna Vaughn discussed the fall edition of the newsletter, which will be coming out soon.  She is looking for a volunteer to chair this issue of the newsletter.  The committee will be meeting shortly to discuss the upcoming issue.

The grant application for “Honoring our Ancestors Grant Program” was tabled till the next meeting since Kris Ayotte was unable to attend.

The annual Irishfest at the Altamont Fairgrounds is scheduled for September 15th  from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.  Donna Vaughn discussed the volunteers for the TIGS table.  She also mentioned that the volunteers will have to pay the admissions fee.  200 brochures were printed for distribution.

NEW BUSINESS

Donna Vaughn congratulated the TIGS members that were able to join Jeanne Keefe at the WMHT fundraiser.  She mentioned that Jeanne gave a wonderful interview on the air about TIGS.

ADJOURNMENT
