8 Mar 1893 |
McLOUD-OBITUARY- ANNA E. MCLOUD entered into her last sleep at Troy, N.Y., March 8, 1893. Her kindly ministrations and her goodness of heart, together with a genial temperament, won for her a large circle of friends, who deeply regret the close of her useful life and mourn the loss of a true Christian soul. She had everything to live for, but in the midst of a happy life she was called by Him who gives and takes all souls. With a patient yet pathetic heroism she bravely faced the inevitable death which bore her spirit up to God. At last, as peacefully and hopefully as a little child, she sank into the rest which wakens not on earthly shores. In her long and weary sickness tender hearts and loving hands gladly ministered to every want. Beyond the shadow of so great a sorrow we behold the breaking of a great light, the light of immortality. | 39-3 |
